Government Incentives for Air Source Heat Pumps
What Government grants are available?
The government announced it will be giving households grants of £7,500 to help them install ASHPs, with the total money allocated enough to cover 90,000 homes.
The grants will be available from October 2023, and details of how consumers will apply are yet to be published. The scheme will operate for three years.
It is highly likely that it will be oversubscribed, meaning those who can fulfil the criteria quickest will receive the grants.
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme
The government will provide £7,500 grants to encourage property owners to install low carbon heating systems such as heat pumps, through the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS). These grants will help property owners overcome the upfront cost of low carbon heating technologies
The Scheme is being run by OFGEM and it is down to us the installer to apply for the grant on the homeowner behalf. We will advise you if you will be eligible for the grant or not. We are MCS registered installers and are approved by the Government to issue the grant to our clients as long as the criteria is met.
