Unusual Aspect – We initially installed the primary pipework along the rear elevation of the property; however, the client was not satisfied with its appearance. Consequently, we revised our approach and relocated the pipework underground to better meet the client’s expectations. In addition, we constructed a new, suitably reinforced floor within the cupboard to provide adequate support for the cylinder and ensure a stable installation.
Challenges:
- Due to the late change to the primary pipework design, we had to quickly adapt and install the revised routing at short notice to maintain progress on the project.
- As part of the change to underground pipework, we excavated a trench through the garden. Although this work took longer than initially anticipated, it was completed efficiently and within the required project timeframe.
- The newly constructed cupboard floor had to be properly levelled and reinforced to safely support the full weight of the hot water cylinder when in operation.
