Air Source Heat Pump Install – Hendon
CASE STUDY
Case Study - Hendon
Unusual aspect – This installation formed part of a full home renovation, requiring the heating system design to be integrated with ongoing building works and future plans for the property. With a high-efficiency SCOP of 5.20 and a low-temperature heating design, the installation delivers exceptional comfort, efficiency and sustainability.
Challenges:
- Finding sufficient space for the 250L hot water cylinder, which was ultimately located beneath the staircase. Careful planning was required to ensure adequate access for installation, servicing and maintenance.
- Positioning the heat pump in the rear garden to balance aesthetics, accessibility, airflow requirements and proximity to the property.
- Routing pipework from the under-stairs cylinder location to the outdoor heat pump, requiring careful consideration to minimise disruption and maintain system efficiency.
