How Air Source Heat Pumps Work

An air source heat pump utilises the heat in the air and raises its temperature using a compressor. The heating system in your home then receives the heat. A low-temperature liquid refrigerant is created by the air source heat pump by converting heat from the surrounding air. Utilizing power, the pump compresses the liquid to increase its temperature.  It then condenses back into a liquid in order to release the heat it has been retaining.

Radiators or your underfloor heating system will be heated. You can save the remaining quantity in your hot water storage tank. You may use the heated water from your taps, showers, and bathtubs. The pump does take electricity to work but it consumes less electricity overall.
